Well, it took us a lot longer than I expected but Greg and I finished off Resident Evil 5 Desperate Escape last night. Overall the DLC wasn't bad but there were definitely some sections that were frantic. I typically don't like Quick Time Events and Timed sections so the last battle killed me. You have to survive for 5 minutes but when the timer gets down to 0, the helicopter pilot says he's going to be late and you have to hold out for an additional 2-3 minutes. We had made it to the second part a bunch of times but never got through it. Last night on our second try, we completed it. It was probably one of the toughest achievements I've ever gotten. While I really loved the game, I don't have any current plans to work on the Verus DLC. Now if the DLC goes on sale, I'll more than likely pick it up since I've completed 2/3 available DLCs for this game.
What is next you ask... looks like Greg and I are going to do some work on GRAW 2 since the servers are shutting down in late September. We've both talked about it and I think we're going to make this a priority so don't be surprised if you see me in this game quite a bit. I haven't joined any TA sessions yet but I likely will. Either that or I'll create them. (will probably create one for next Friday night in place of our normally scheduled one)
I'm 4/5 this month in regards to the To-Do Challenge, the only one I didn't get was the Witcher 2 one... I'm close but would probably need a couple more days at minimum to knock this one off. My September list is brutal. I thought about re-rolling but at the very least, it'll enable me to work on some of this other stuff. Now we just need to find willing participants. Some of the co-op stuff requires more gamers I think but I'll knock out what I can prior to shutdown.
