The Death of Passion

Hey folks,

If you don't know who I am, then shame on you. I, of course, am only kidding. I used to be (technically still am, I guess?) a Boosting Coordinator and Forum Moderator at Achievement Hounds but I haven't been active there -- or anywhere, really -- for what feels like forever. If you know me from there, and are now here, then it must mean that ship has finally finished sinking. That's what happens when your captain doesn't even log in for 2 years. Bitter much? Yes.

With that said, I don't expect I'll be terribly active here either. My passion for gaming and community sank with Achievement Hounds.

I am sorry that your passion for Achievement Hounds resulted in disappointment. I was never involved with that site/group. However, I've heard of others from that group that feel much like you do.

We are a very casual group. So you can get as involved with us (or not) as your comfort level and passion affords. We usually get together on Monday and Friday nights to game together. We often play co-op in one of the Games With Gold titles.

I am a fan of a wide variety of games. My passion lies in co-op gaming. I hope we get a chance to play together soon!

I'll give it a shot sometime and maybe it will spark something in me. It kinda sucks from being extremely active to nothing at all. Maybe I can find some middle ground. I just don't want to get attached to something and see it fall through or an issue between members arise and I not feel welcome again. I'm willing to try though.

Quite honestly I never understood the whole AH thing. When I joined the site was very active with contests, boosting sessions and blogs but it went right down the crapper. Not really sure what caused it other than the admins basically not caring and/or being active. If this site ever gets to a point where I don't care, I would shut it down rather than letting it die a lonely death.

As JPW said, we're very casual here and we tend to have a lot of fun when we game together. JPW and I game with each other quite often and we always have a blast. We've had some moments in games that I'll never forget. (hey JPW, look at Mitch.) <--- inside joke but it was a great time.
