OK here it goes I've been having issues with my 360 for awhile now mostly freezing and some dirty disc error while playing downloaded game. Then a few days ago I transferred my external hard drive to my XB1 since I was completely out of space and didn't care to have all the extra space on my 360. So I transferred all the things I really wanted from the external to the 360 hard drive itself deleted what could be downloaded at a later day and figured everything was fine... Nope I lost my Forza 3 save all of my Gears stuff and when trying to finish LEGO Rock Band I keep getting disc can't be read error in the middle of playing it and kicked back to the dash. So I figured maybe it's just something about this game and installed Bayonatta that went fine but when I go to play it I get error can't play at this time please reply download and try again.... I played a little Tecmo Superbowl just to see if a downloaded game was OK and for the 15 minutes I played it seemed OK. So does anyone have any ideas maybe just the Hard drive is pretty much out or is the system going? I have so many backlogged games to just give up and so many are disc based. Just want to throw the thing out my window into my pool but I would miss y'all to much so if there are any ideas on how to save it I would appreciate it.

Not a game but a system hardware thing.

I was have freezing which forced me to pull the plug, and extreme slowness when trying to navigate the dash. I reformatted the 250g hard drive (which requires you to enter the serial #) and started from scratch. I'm only downloading what I'm playing at the time, so far so good.

You could try doing the reformat thing, but if it's a disc drive issue it won't help, and only a repair or replacement will fix it.
