My gaming has come to a complete halt. On March 24th I was sitting at a light when I was rear-ended by two cars. The impact caused considerable damage to my car, a slight whiplash and a significant concussion. I suffer from memory loss, headaches, nausea and confusion. I tried playing video games (against my doctor's advice on two separate occasions) to disastrous results. I awoke the next morning feeling absolutely horrible. My doctor has currently taken me out of work until April 18th at which time he'll re-evaluate how I'm doing. He also wants me to see a neurologist.

    However,...

In the past few weeks I discovered that unlocking achievements is very important to me.  However, if I want to pursue unlocking achievements, I have to reduce the pain in my hands.  I tried relieving the pain by using a controller less.  I started playing a city building game called Banished on my PC.  On those days when my hands didn't bother me, I played Fallout 4.  However, I modded the game.  Therefore the achievements were turned off.  After a couple of weeks I realized I missed chasing down achievments. I worked with my rheumatologist to find the right medication and exercise therapy for...

I realize it's been several weeks since my last update.  I just wanted to let you all know where I've been and what's going on.

Over the past few months I experienced an ever-increasing pain in my hands and fingers.  I was already told that I have some arthritis in my fingers.  The pain, however, was becoming unbearable.  Another visit to my rheumatologist and I was diagnosed with Dupuytren's contracture.  According to the Mayo Clinic:
Dupuytren's (du-pwe-TRANZ) contracture is a hand deformity that usually develops over years. The condition affects a layer of tissue...

I haven't unlocked that many achievements so far this month.  After analyzing why that might be, I determined that it's not due to reduced playing time.  It's due to Minecraft.  I've been playing a good bit of Minecraft this month.  Not only have I been participating in our game nights.  But @kbeau73 and I have been playing a good bit lately on other nights.  Frankly, it's been tempting to spend all of my gaming time playing Minecraft.  I like this game that much!

    My achievement streak...

I accomplished a good bit last month.  I managed to knock out quite a few achievements.  I played through Valiant Hearts.  I have only one more achievement to unlock in that game.  It requires you to complete a loooooong series of quick time events without making any mistakes.  Mad   I am nearly finished with Saints Row Gat Out Of Hell.  There are only a few more achievements to unlock in that game.  I played through Medal of Honor.  Great game!  I look forward to getting back to that game.  I played some Band Hero as...

I've focused on a few games so far this month.  I played through the Medal of Honor campaign.  There were a couple achievements from that game on my To Do List.  I knocked those off and completed the campaign because I was having too much fun to stop.  Very Happy   I played some Band Hero to unlock a couple more achievements on my To Do List.  I love the music games and hope to get a CGC band going pretty soon.  I've been playing Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell with

I had a lot of fun gaming in October.  @kbeau73 and I completed the campaign in Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Normal difficulty.  The graphics in that game are awesome.  We each picked up an achievement we needed for our Annual To Do List.  I completed the South Park The Stick of Truth game.  I'm a fan of the show.  The game provided several laugh out loud moments.  I picked up another achievement for my To Do List from that game as well.  I completed another season of Minecraft Story Mode as well....

I've been having a good bit of fun gaming so far this month!  @kbeau73 and I have been playing through the Gears of War Ultimate Edition campaign.  The story is familiar, but the graphics are gorgeous.  When I'm gaming alone, I'm playing South Park Stick of Truth.  It is a somewhat open world game with turn-based combat.  It contains a lot of humor typical to South Park . . . irreverent and very funny!  I'm playing both of these games because of the Annual To Do List Challenge.

Last month was productive.  I continued my streak of days unlocking achievements.  I'm now at 89 days.  I completed three of the five achievements on my to do list.  I completed Resident Evil 5.  A big Thank You goes out to @kbeau73 for helping me with that!  I started and completed Pneuma.  It is an interesting puzzle game.  I also started looking for orbs in Crackdown.  I have three more agility orbs to find and seven hidden orbs to find.  Here's a summary...

I've had a rather productive month so far.  I finished GRAW 2 before the server shuts down.  I am quite pleased about that  I've been trying to help @kbeau73 finish the game as well.  Here's my summary for September thus far:

I'll likely be spending the rest of the month trying to unlock my challenge achievements as well as helping...

So, it looks like these Xbox things are going to be around for awhile.  Very Happy   I decided to embellish mine a bit.  I bought the Elite Controller.  I've only used it for a day.  Already I like it.  I love the D Pad!  And I can map each button and trigger on the thing...Handy!  I'll let you know how it goes as I use it more.

A few months ago I saw something advertised that I thought was rather clever.  It's a hard drive enclosure for the Xbox One.  It's a thin extension of the XOne case that plugs into...

It's been a month since I posted an update.  My biggest accomplishment in August, I feel, was completing the Resident Evil 5 Desperate Escape DLC on Professional difficulty with the help of @kbeau73.  That one was tough!  I completed four of the five Teeny Weeny Challenge achievements.  I did not unlock Maxed Out on Titanfall.  Here's my summary for August:

July was a very productive month for me.  I finished my Bean Dive a few days ago.  I'm happy to say ALL my games are now on my card and included in my stats.  Here is the results of my Bean Dive:

I completed four of the assigned achievements for the Teeny Weeny Challenge for last month.  One of the achievements drawn was for the game Outlast.  It is a VERY scary stealth game.  I tried to play that game and failed miserably.  I suck at stealth games.  And that game...

This has been a very busy month for me in regards to gaming.  I decided that I wanted to get all my games on my card so that my TA stats would be more accurate.  I therefore commenced a Bean Dive.  When I started my dive, I thought it would include 45 games.  Since I started my dive, I discovered my records weren't completely accurate.  I ended up doing a complete inventory audit of all my games.  I found that I had some games that I didn't include in my inventory.  I also found there was one game I had achievements for but I didn't have the game.  Then I remembered I borrowed the game from a friend...

June was a good month for me.  I unlocked several achievements (several for me anyway).  I also did some co-op gaming.  I can't tell you how much I enjoy co-op gaming.  @kbeau73 and I played Resident Evil 5.  I have only two achievements left to complete the base game.  We are currently working on the Lost In Nightmares DLC.  We have only one more achievement to complete it.  We'll then work on the Desperate Escapes DLC.  Here is my summary for June 2016:

I'm having a very good month thus far.  Playing Resident Evil 5 with @kbeau73 and also playing Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City with @kbeau73 and @mrtnmitchell has been challenging while being a ton of fun!  I'm slowly whittling away at XCOM: Enemy Unkown.  I'll be playing it for several weeks to come....

My gaming activities picked up a bit this month.  I'm still playing XCOM: Enemy Unkown (and still enjoying it).  I started playing through Resident Evil 5 with @kbeau73.  We're really enjoying it!  I also started playing Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City with @kbeau73 and @mrtnmitchell.  We're having...

I didn't accomplish much since my last update a couple weeks ago.  Sadly I backlogged more than I completed.  I also realized that I left out a group of games from my stats previously.  At any rate, here is what it looks like.

My last blog update was only a little over a week ago.  However, I'm going to try and update the blog twice a month.  It's good to have goals, eh.  I've played very little since my last update on April 7th.  With the warmer weather comes yard work and other home maintenance.  I've also decided to take up playing my guitar again.  I know . . . Excuses! Excuses!

Because I'm a data analyst (or, more accurately, because I'm extremely anal) I've decided to track those statistics that are important to me.  You might notice that I picked up another game for my backlog.
